Admiral car insurance has the aim of offering lower premiums to individuals who weren’t traditionally seen as safer drivers. They have been particularly successful in this area since their launch in 1993 and specifically target those owners who would normally pay higher premiums including young drivers, people living in urban areas, drivers of performance car, and regularly drivers that fit two or all three criteria.
Admiral’s car insurance online quote system is convenient to use because after very few questions you are presented with an indicative quotation, and if you are happy, you can proceed to a full quote in the knowledge that it is likely to be in an acceptable range and you are not wasting valuable time. If you are satisfied with the final figure you can buy and get immediate cover online.
They are particularly flexible when it comes to paying your premiums. Like most car insurance providers Admiral offer an instalment option, but they have added an Instalment Protection Policy which provides benefits if you are off work because of sickness, accident or unemployment for a period of time*. They also operate a Payment Holiday Scheme if you wish to miss a month, after a heavy Christmas it may be helpful, you pay a small fee and the remaining premiums over the balance of the payment year. You can also reduce your premium by increasing your voluntary excess.
A free courtesy car* is written into the Admiral car insurance policy however the terms aren’t clear and it would be prudent to check that your concerns are covered because there are several exclusions, such as claims for theft. They do operate an optional extra of Hire Car cover* which can be added to either comprehensive, third party or third party fire and theft which provides a 1 litre hire car in the event of the insured vehicle being stolen and not recovered (or being rendered a total loss through an insured incident if comprehensively insured).
